LEADERSHIP

Each Serenity Home has two house leaders to provide support, direction and accountability to our residents.

About Pastor Jeff Hill – Founder

Growing up in a healthy family Jeff found his identity in playing hockey. In high school, he was introduced to cocaine. This set in motion a 15+ year battle with addiction. Throughout the next 15+ years, Jeff went to over 10 treatment centers trying to overcome his addiction. He found that his biggest challenges came when he got out of treatment. Jeff was ordained as a Pastor in 2012 by Pastor Earl Gilchrist of Waters of Life Outreach Ministry / River of Life Christian Center. He is a graduate of Bethel College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance. In addition to his day-to-day management of Serenity Homes, he is the Senior Pastor of Serenity Village Community Church: www.serenityvillagecc.org and is also an entrepreneur. In his role as a business owner, Jeff is able to employ numerous residents of the Serenity Homes program which helps transition them to a sustainable, clean, God-centered, independent life.

About Doug Jahnke – Executive Director

Doug grew up in a healthy home in Madison, Wisconsin where he was involved in athletics and was a member of the National Honor Society. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received a bachelor’s degree in economics. After many successful years in business, Doug became addicted to gambling. This addiction took him down a road where he lost everything – his career and family. After his second treatment in 2008 for compulsive gambling at Vanguard-Project Turnabout, Doug came directly to Serenity Homes. While at Serenity Homes, Doug became whole and began to rebuild his life. After 1 year, Doug was promoted to a house leader position and remained for 2 more years. After graduating the program, Doug was placed in the role as Executive Director. As Executive Director, he works full time for Serenity Homes and his main role is to provide support to the house leaders and residents. Doug is married to Aana Jahnke and has two children: Brian and Laura.
